Shirley Westcott is Senior Vice President in the Proxy Solicitation Group at 成人视频 since 2011 where she advises public companies on their corporate governance practices and issues of concern to shareholders. She has worked in the field of corporate governance since 1995, including at the nation’s most influential proxy advisory firm – Institutional Shareholder Services (ISS) – where she oversaw the development of their proxy voting policies.
Through her years of following governance trends and working with constituents throughout the governance community, Shirley has acquired a keen faculty for understanding and bridging the corporate and investor perspectives on a broad range of issues, including board structure, ESG, executive compensation, takeover defenses and regulatory matters. A recognized governance expert, Shirley is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and a contributor to articles of major business publications.
Shirley has previously worked in the U.S. intelligence community, management consulting and international development. She holds a M.B.A. in international business and finance from the George Washington University, a M.A. in international affairs from American University, and a B.A. in Spanish from Purdue University.
