As Chief Strategy Officer at ��Ƶ, Todd Balestro works closely with the CEO to define the firm’s strategic direction and is responsible for driving key growth initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships.

Todd brings over 20 years of experience in leveraged finance, having served as a Senior Managing Director at leading financial institutions including Salomon Brothers, Citigroup, Citadel, and Guggenheim Partners. He also brings a strong foundation in management consulting from his time as an executive at Peterson Consulting.

Todd holds a B.S. in Engineering from Lehigh University and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.

Thomas Kies is Executive Vice President – International, Global Partnerships at ��Ƶ. Tom joins Alliance with over 30 years’ experience in the ShareholderServices/Proxy Governance space. Tom has held executive positions at Computershare/Georgeson, AST/DF King and most recently started up aGovernance/Proxy business at EQ who recently merged with AST. Tom has done extensive work assisting clients with reducing shareholder servicing costs.

Tom has extensive global markets experience, having lived in London, and successfully managed global proxy at EQ and Georgeson. Tom is also well known in the banking and utility space and has managed many successful proxy/governance campaigns.

Prior to joining Alliance, he held executive position at Fintech startup, FusionIQ. Tom was Executive VicePresident at EQ managing its proxy/governance business, he also held ExecutiveVice President role at Computershare Georgeson and AST/DF King. Tom was a founding partner at Laurel Hill, started a proxy/surveillance business at Manufacurers Hanover Trust Co. and started at Morrow & Co. all while assisting clients with proxy campaigns, proxy fights, activist situations and corporate governance concerns.

Tom is active member with EEI(Edison Electric Institute), AGA (American Gas Association), SSA (ShareholderServices Association) Society of Governance Professionals, NIRI (NationalInvestor Relations Institute) and CIRI (Canadian Investor Relations Institute).

Throughout his career, Michael has focused on helping financial institutions and fund managers build stronger relationships with shareholders through strategic communications and solutions-driven engagement. His experience spans the development and execution of growth strategies, partnership management, and client advisory within highly regulated financial environments.

Before joining ��Ƶ full-time, Michael worked with the firm as a consultant, contributing to business development initiatives and supporting the continued expansion of the Fund Solutions offering. In his current role, he partners closely with clients and internal teams to identify opportunities, strengthen relationships, and deliver tailored solutions that support long-term business objectives.
